Johanna Siegler (*2002) is an art historian and writer based in Berlin.

​

She is completing a B.A. in Art and Visual History and Cultural Studies at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, where she also works in the Department of Ancient History. She previously studied philosophy of art and aesthetics at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Her research interests span the photographic and feminist practices of global conceptualism, and how women artists of the 19th and 20th century have engaged with the philosophy of science.

Her criticism and essays have appeared in Berlin Art Linkkennich MagazinKubaparis, and re:visions journal. She is the founder of SPOOL, a digital archive dedicated to the site-specific art of women artists, and works as a translator for Salta Art Foundation, an independent non-profit fostering exchange between South America and Germany.
